“The Gray Man” scribe Adam Cozad has signed on to write “Archangel,” New Regency’s extraterrestrial thriller with “Tron: Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski attached to helm.
Navid McIlhargey will oversee the project for the shingle, which signed Cozad after being impressed with his work on the upcoming Regency and Shine thriller “Gray Man,” directed by James Gray. That script, based on the Mark Greaney novel, made the 2010 Black List.
Scott Free is producing “Archangel,” based on a script by Andrew Will, which centers on a secret unit of the military that tracks and hunts down aliens among us.
Cozad recently wrote the Jack Ryan reboot for Paramount, with Chris Pine attached to star and “Lost” director Jack Bender set to helm.
Kosinski’s “Tron” sequel grossed nearly $400 million worldwide for Disney.
ICM and Gotham Group rep Cozad.
