3 thesps develop ‘Crush’

Sarah Bolger, Crystal Reed and Reid Ewing join Intrepid Pictures thriller

TV thesps Sarah Bolger (“The Tudors”), Crystal Reed (“Teen Wolf”), and Reid Ewing (“Modern Family”) are set to join “X-Men: First Class” star Lucas Till in Intrepid Pictures’ thriller “Crush,” which Malik Bader will direct from a script by Sonny Mallhi.

Till plays a star high school athlete who becomes the focus of a secret admirer’s obsession. He soon discovers that the innocent crush has turned dangerous and deadly.

Bolger will play Till’s longtime friend who wants to take their platonic relationship to the next level, though he’s too busy training to pay much attention.

Reed will play a shy, emotionally intense classmate of Till’s character, who’s jealous of his friendship with Bolger. Ewing will play an intelligent outcast who has a crush on Reed’s character, whom he suspects may be hiding something sinister.

Intrepid is fully financing the pic, which is being produced by its principals Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans. Mallhi, who previously teamed with Intrepid on 2008’s sleeper hit “The Strangers,” will exec produce with Intrepid’s Anil Kurian. Glen Basner’s FilmNation will handle international sales on the pic, which starts production Oct. 24 in Los Angeles.

Bolger, who’s repped by CAA and Hamilton Hodell, recently wrapped the indie “As Cool as I Am.”

Ewing, who was last seen in DreamWorks’ “Fright Night” remake,” recently wrapped the indie sex comedy “Sleeping Around.” He’s repped by UTA, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Karl Austen.

Reed recently appeared in WB’s “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and will soon be seen alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in “Jewtopia.” She’s repped by Gersh, Main Title Entertainment and attorney Scott Whitehead.
