Sundance Selects has picked up all U.S. rights to “The Forgiveness of Blood,” the latest film from “Maria Full of Grace” writer-helmer Joshua Marston.

Pic, which won the Silver Bear for screenplay at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival, centers on a family in northern Albania ensnared in a blood feud after the patriarch is accused of murder. Tristan Halilaj, Sindi Lacej and Refet Abazi star.

Exec produced by Janine Gold, Eric Abraham, Domenico Procacci, Hunter Gray and Tyler Brodie, the Journeyman Pictures production is a presentation of Fandango Portobello in association with Artists Public Domain, Cinereach and Lissus Media.

Sundance Selects’ Arianna Bocco negotiated the acquisition with Fandango Portobello’s Gold. Focused on U.S. indies, docs and world cinema, multiplatform distrib Sundance Selects is a sister division to IFC Films and IFC Midnight.
