Exclusive– Brit distrib Revolver Entertainment has snapped up U.K. rights to Jose Padilha’s “Elite Squad 2: The Enemy Within,” being sold by Stuart Ford’s IM Global, and east London morality tale “Turnout.”

Elite Squad 2” is the follow up to Padilha’s $60 million Brazilian hit, “Elite Squad,” which won the Golden Bear at the 2008 Berlin Film Festival. It follows the story of Captain Nascimento as he takes on the rampant corruption in Rio’s city government.

Pic is produced by Globo Films.

“Turnout,” toplining Ophelia Lovibond and Brit singer-rapper Ben Drew (aka Plan B), is based on an original screenplay by director Lee Sales and thesps Francis Pope and George Russo. Story follows a couple who book their first holiday together and, after having put down a deposit, make vain attempts to raise cash and pay the outstanding balance.

The movie was picked up directly from producers Danny Potts and Leo Pearlman.

“Both of these films have very talented individuals driving them,” said Revolver topper Justin Marciano.

Recently, Revolver nabbed rights to Drew’s directorial debut “Ill Manors.”
