Fortissimo Films and WME have boarded sales for Julianne Moore-Alexander Skarsgard starrer “What Maisie Knew.”
Fortissimo will handle international rights while WME’s Graham Taylor and Mark Ankner will rep the project domestically, and both will shop to buyers in Cannes this week.
Pic, helmed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel (“The Deep End”), is an adaptation of the Henry James tome set in contemporary New York. Nancy Doyne and Carroll Cartwright pen the script, which focuses on a 6-year-old girl caught up in the bitter divorce of her rock ‘n’ roll icon mother and her art dealer father.
Steve Coogan also stars.
Red Crown’s Daniel Crown and Daniela Taplin Lundberg are producing the pic, which is skedded to begin lensing in New York in August.
