Exclusive: Dakota Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen, Peter Sarsgaard and Dustin Hoffman are set to topline coming-of-age pic “Very Good Girls,” helmed and penned by Naomi Foner.
Pic is being financed by Tim Smith and Paul Brett’s Prescience Film Finance. Ealing Metro Intl. will handle international sales and is shopping it to buyers in Cannes.
Gale Anne Hurd and Hawk Koch (“Source Code”) are producing the pic, which is skedded to lense in September.
Story follows two teen girls through the summer after they graduate from high school and decide to lose their virginity. When they both fall for the same charismatic street artist, their friendship is tested and they have to find their way through a tangle of lies to discover real love.
Pic is the first project for Ealing Metro after the recent merger of Ealing and Metropolis/Prescience’s sales operations.
CAA put together the financing deal with Prescience and is handling North American rights to the film with Ealing Metro.
