‘Justin Bieber’ tops Friday B.O.

Paramount docu earns north of $12 mil

Teen pop idol Justin’s Bieber’s new G-rated docu “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” rocked the Friday box office, earning Paramount more than $12 million in 5,105 runs. The Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler starrer “Just Go With It” from Sony took in about $9.7 million in 3,548 runs, while Disney’s new 3D pic “Gnomeo and Juliet” brought in roughly $6.1 million in 2,994 engagements. Focus Features’ “The Eagle” earned about $2.7 million in 2,296 runs. Another Sony pic, “The Roommate,” rounded out the top five with about $2.6 million in 2,534 runs in its second frame.

“The King’s Speech” earned about $1.8 million in 2,263 engagements. Paramount’s “No Strings Attached” collected roughly $1.7 million in 2,756 runs.

Universal’s 3D pic “Sanctum” earned about $1.4 million in 2,789 engagements, while Paramount’s “True Grit” grabbed about $950,000 in 2,072 runs. Sony’s “The Green Hornet” earned about $885,000 in 2,090 engagements.
