‘Hall Pass’ tops Friday B.O.

New Warner Bros. pic earns $4.6 mil in 2,950 runs

The new Warner Bros./New Line pic “Hall Pass” grabbed the top spot at the box office on Friday.

The Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis comedy earned about $4.6 million in 2,950 runs. It was chased by another Warner Bros. Pic, “Unknown,” which took in about $3.9 million in 3,043 engagements. Sony’s romantic comedy “Just Go With It” collected about $3.2 million in 3,544 runs, while Disney/Touchstone pic “I Am Number Four” (3,156 engagements) and Disney’s 3D pic “Gnomeo and Juliet,” (3,037) both collected an estimated $3.1 million.

Pop star Justin Bieber’s 3D pic came in at No. 6 with about $2.6 million in 2,810 runs for Paramount, while Fox’s “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son” grabbed the No. 7 position with about $2 million in 2,821 engagements. “The King’s Speech” earned about $1.9 million in 2,386 runs. Summit’s new pic “Drive Angry” collected about $1.6 million in 2,290 engagements. Rounding out Friday’s top ten was Sony’s “The Roommate,” which earned about $621,000 in 1,726 runs.
