‘Modern’ duo to host WGA ceremony

Stonestreet, Ferguson to host West Coast awards

“Modern Family’s” dynamic duo Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson will co-host the 2011 Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony on Feb. 5.

Ferguson and Stonestreet play gay couple and adoptive parents Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker on the ABC series.

“I am very fond of Jesse but also very sick of him,” Stonestreet joked of the duo’s pairing. “Did you know we’re not an actual real couple? And I’m tired of people thinking I can’t exist without him. Anyway, I look forward to a great evening.”

Ferguson had his own statement: “I love that he (Stonestreet) can’t exist without me. I feel like we are an actual couple sometimes. He doesn’t know it yet but I am having a custom three-legged tux made for us later today. Anyway, I look forward to a great evening.”

Awards will be held simultaneously at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles and the AXA Equitable Center in New York City.
