Comcast-owned cabler G4 has signed on to telecast the 14th annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
G4 will run a one-hour version of the kudos, hosted by comedian Jay Mohr, on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 4 p.m. The event takes place at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas on Feb. 10.
G4 will also webcast the awards show in its entirety on Feb. 10, as well as offer exclusive content from the Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain (DICE) Summit and the Indie Game Challenge, both of which take place during the week.
The Interactive Achievement Awards bill themselves as “the industry’s highest form of recognition of the year’s best accomplishments in interactive entertainment,” and they’re supported by videogame publishers and developers.
Wade Beckett, exec producer of G4’s “X-Play” vidgame series, called the Interactive Achievement Awards “the most legitimate award show in the videogame industry.”
