Vidgame publisher Activision has announced that screen talent including Val Kilmer and “Heroes” alum Milo Ventimiglia are lending their voices to upcoming Marvel game titles “Spider-Man: Edge of Time” and “X-Men Destiny.”
Kilmer is headlining “Spider-Man” as villain Walker Sloan. He will be joined by “Smallville’s” Laura Vandervoort as Mary Jane and “Battlestar Galactica’s” Katee Sackhoff as superheroine Black Cat. Plot follows two separate Spider-Men operating on different timelines to stop Kilmer’s time-traveling evil scientist.
Ventimiglia will star alongside “Sucker Punch’s” Jamie Chung and TV thesp Scott Porter as one of three new mutants playable in the “X-Men” game that will interact with franchise favorites like Wolverine.
Chung, who plays Ed Helms’ fiancee in “The Hangover Part II,” was recently cast in the Rob Lowe starrer “Knife Fight.” Porter, a “Friday Night Lights” alum, will be a series regular this fall on CW’s Rachel Bilson vehicle “Hart of Dixie.”
The “Spider-Man” and “X-Men” vidgames were penned by Marvel comicbook vets Peter David and Mike Carey, respectively. Titles will be making their debut this week at San Diego Comic-Con in advance of their fall releases.
