The Association of Independent Commercial Producers has named Smuggler co-founder Brian Carmody chair of its 20th annual show, The Art & Technique of the American Commercial. This year marks the event’s 20th anniversary.
As chairman, Carmody oversees a 27-member committee that is responsible for promoting the Show and encouraging entries “Chairing the AICP Show in its 20th year is an amazing honor,” said Carmody. “(The show) truly captures the culture of each year through advertising.”
“Brian’s expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to creativity makes him a perfect fit as the 2011 Show Chair.” said AICP prexy Matt Miller, “His contributions to production and his ability to recognize outstanding and innovative work are real assets.”
The show will debut in June at New York’s Museum of Modern Art and then travel to other cities.
