Burbank based AlphaDogs Post Production has been tapped for all online editorial and color correction on 12 episodes of Playboy Channel docu series “Brooklyn Kinda Love,” which explores intimate relationships among four couples living in Brooklyn.
“AlphaDogs has great creative talent, pays attention to the details, and goes the extra mile to please us,” said producer Harry Gantz, who brought the project to the facility. “On the business side they were willing to find a way to work within our budget, and the negotiations were easy.”
Online editorial services are being handled by AlphaDogs finishing editor Sean Stack. Specs include file-based delivery to the network with color correction being completed in an Apple Color finishing room. Shared Terrablock storage allows both the online editor and colorist to access the same media from different bays.
“Shared storage allows me to work on lower thirds and subtitles while color correction is being done in another room,” said Stack. “Scrutiny is given to be sure all the media is in the same codec and frame rate.”
“Brooklyn Kinda Love” is produced by Gantz for Playboy Entertainment Group. The first episode premiered Jan. 15 at 10 p.m. on The Playboy Channel.
