W&W on the Radio: A War on Voting

Next year celebrities will deploy around the country to drum up young adult interest in registering to vote. But changes in laws across the country are making the process more complicated, and it’s what The Nation’s Ari Berman writes is an effort to depress turnout for a key bloc that helped Barack Obama win the presidency in 2008. His piece, “The GOP War on Voting,” appears in the latest Rolling Stone. On the latest Wilshire and Washington on the Radio, we talk to Berman about changes in state laws, about genuine cases of voter fraud and how this compares to Democratic claims of ballot bamboozlement in 2000 and 2004.
