Warner inks deal with Outline

Major to distribute new shows, formats from U.K. shingle

LONDON — Warner Bros. Intl. Television Production has inked a two-year deal to distribute new shows from U.K. shingle Outline Prods.

Move is another sign of Warners’ beefing up its TV-based activity in Blighty.

WBITVP will sell format rights to Outline’s newly commissioned shows plus new finished programs.

The first project is “Great British Food Revival,” which bowed in the U.K. March 9.

Chris Bonney, senior VP, sales and acquisitions, WBITVP, said: “Outline has long been on our radar as a very talented team delivering breakthrough reality formats as well as high-performing entertainment and factual series.”

The shingle’s shows have been commissioned by the BBC, BSkyB, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Discovery, TLC and UKTV.

Recent fare includes “The Secret Tourist,” “Fat Families,” “The House of Tiny Tearaways,” “Dumped” and “Jo Frost’s Extreme Parental Guidance.”
