LONDON — Universal Pictures Intl. has upped Duncan Clark to prexy of distribution.
Clark has served as exec VP of distribution for UPI since 2006, and was a key person in organizing and establishing UPI’s autonomous overseas operations as the company transitioned from its United Intl. Pictures joint venture with Paramount Pictures in 2007.
Clark will supervise U’s operating companies, UIP joint ventures and will manage relationships with independent sales agents. He will also be responsible for overseeing that the company’s revenue is maximized through various windows. He will continue to report to U prexy of international David Kosse.
Previously, Clark spent 14 years at Sony Pictures, culminating in his role as prexy of its international theatrical division. He also served as partner of Pacific Media Intl., where he produced independent movies and acted as marketing consultant on a number of Hollywood pics.
