River Road Entertainment has tapped exec Christa Zofcin as exec VP, business and legal affairs.
“Christa’s expertise will be felt in all phases of motion picture operations, and we’re certain her addition will be a perfect fit for River Road,” prexy Mitch Horwits said in announcing the appointment Monday.
Zofcin most recently served as senior VP and head of business affairs at United Artists. She ran business and legal affairs at Tom Cruise’s studio and managed the film-by-film funding and bonding process. Prior to that gig she was senior VP, business & legal affairs, at Yari Film Group, where she also managed all aspects of feature business affairs.
River Road’s production of Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life” will screen at Cannes. Recent releases include”Fair Game” and “Food, Inc.”
