LONDON — Brit industry veteran Tina McFarling is joining entertainment public relations firm Premier PR as head of corporate PR, effective from April 4.

McFarling, who has more than 25 years of experience of film industry press and corporate communications under her belt, joins Premier after a long-stint at the shuttered U.K. Film Council, which closes its doors on Friday, where she served as head of industry relations.

At the UKFC, McFarling led the org’s public relations work across the film sector including public and private sector stakeholder relationships, press, marketing, U.K. and international events and sponsorship activities.

Prior to joining UKFC, she ran the corporate press office for the British Film Institute, the org that will take the reins of most of the UKFC’s duties from April 1.

McFarling started her career as a journalist in the biz and also managed press and PR for the British Film Commission.
