The 23rd installment in the James Bond franchise will open in the U.K. and Ireland two weeks before its U.S. release.
The pic will bow Oct. 26, 2012, at the Odeon Leicester Square, London, said MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment on Thursday. It preems in the U.S. on Nov. 9, 2012.

Longtime Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli from Eon Prods. will produce.
In April, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced it would distribute pics in the MGM James Bond franchise after weeks of negotiations that included majors such as 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. in the running.
Sony, which distributed the last two Bond films, “Casino Royale” and “Quantum of Solace,” will co-finance, market and distrib “Bond 23” and “Bond 24.”
MGM still retains rights for “Bond 23” in some territories, but Sony will distribute for the rest of the world.
