Blighty’s horror fest organizer FrightFest has teamed up with Wild Bunch to expand into U.K. theatrical distribution.

The companies inked a home-entertainment pact a year ago, but this has now been beefed up to include theatrical.

The pair will distribute horror pics through eOne in Blighty under the FrightFest Features banner.

The label’s first release is Italian helmer Federico Zampaglione’s English-lingo “Shadow,” which world preemed at the Film4 FrightFest in August and is skedded for an April 29 theatrical release on five to 10 cinemas in the U.K. It will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 23.

The psychological horror, toplining Jake Muxworthy and Karina Testa, follows the story of a young soldier who goes on a mountain-biking excursion in the Alps only to be met with a group of violent locals who want him dead.

IFC Films has picked up North American rights from U.K. genre sales specialist Jinga Films.
