Helmers Oliver Stone, Rob Minkoff and Wayne Wang, and CEOs Kishore Lulla, of Eros Intl., and Albert Lee, of Emperor Motion Pictures will be part of a lineup of 53 global ambassadors for the inaugural ScreenSingapore fest, which will run June 5-12.

Paul Hanneman, co-prexy of 20th Century Fox Intl.; Richard J. Fox, exec VP of Warner Bros. Entertainment Intl.; Veronika Kwan-Rubinek, WB prexy of international distribution; Reliance Big Pictures CEO Sanjeev Lamba and Unifrance prexy Antoine de Clermont Tonnerre also will feature among the ambassadors, the board of ScreenSingapore announced at Filmart in Hong Kong on Tuesday.

“We are extremely honored to have the formal support of renowned film professionals and filmmakers, all of whom have been instrumental in developing the film industry around the world,” said ScreenSingapore board chairman and Latitude Entertainment prexy Greg Coote.

ScreenSingapore is organized by the city-state’s Media Development Authority and Experia, and is aimed at providing a platform for the biz in the region.

“Singapore is Asia’s burgeoning media hub, and ScreenSingapore will surely be one of the world’s premier platforms for films, filmmakers and film technology,” said another ambassador, William Pfeiffer, CEO of Tiger Gate Entertainment.Helmer Wang said the event would be “a platform where both Asian and Western cinema will flourish together, promoting cross-cultural working relationships and helping bring international projects to an even wider audience.”

Victor Loewy, CEO of Alliance Films, described the fest as “ambitious and forward thinking.”

“It is clear ScreenSingapore will stand out and attract leading film stars, exhibitors and buyers for many years to come,” said Loewy.

Other ambassadors include Milt Barlow, CEO of China Lion Film Distribution, David Glass, m.d. of Golden Village, filmmaker-producer Andre Morgan, Jeremy Thomas of the Recorded Picture Company, Kintop Pictures’ Deepak Nayar, Andrew Ooi of 852 Films, Suhaimi Rafdi of Cathay Organization Holdings, Roeg Sutherland of Creative Artists Agency and Erik Wilbers, World Intellectual Property Organization.
