Ending a seven-month stalemate, sports cabler Versus will return to DirecTV’s menu following an agreement between the satcaster and Versus’ parent company, Comcast.

Versus, whose offerings include the National Hockey League, college football and the Tour de France, was dropped by DirecTV on Aug. 31 when the sides couldn’t come to terms on a carriage agreement.

At the time, DirecTV said it would not accept a 20% rate hike for Versus, which was rated 61st out of 74 ad-supported nets. Versus (formerly know as Outdoor Life Network) countered with concerns that DirecTV was going to put the network on a pay tier.

“We are pleased that both sides were able to work out a satisfactory deal to bring this programming back to our customers,” DirecTV exec veep of content strategy and development Derek Chang said.
