‘True Blood’ ratings are oh, positive

Trueblood10_11 Total audience for the third-season premiere of "True Blood" Sunday on HBO was 38% higher than the season-two premiere a year ago.

The ampy, campy vampire drama drew 5.1 million viewers, compared with 3.7 million when season two launched June 14, 2009. Another 1.3 million viewers watched the replay of the season three premiere two hours later.

Season two averaged 4.3 million viewers for 12 episodes last year.
