Wendi Trilling learned about the alarming rise in child food allergies the hard way, when her son Max began having severe reactions.
When Trilling, CBS’ exec VP of comedy, sought info on the Internet, the best resource she found was the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, or FAAN.
Her family joined in on the org’s annual walk fund-raiser, and the Max Trilling team has become its highest-grossing contributor.
Being around other kids with the same challenges was important to Max, now 5.
“It really helped him to feel like he was not alone,” she says.
