Tribune renews ‘Men’ thru ’21

Warner Bros. also inks mega-renewal with Sinclair stations

Tribune Broadcasting has locked up the syndie rights to “Two and a Half Men” through 2021.

The Warner Bros. laffer has been a massive hit in reruns for Tribune’s stations since it bowed in fall 2007. The new deal extends Tribune’s existing long-term license by seven more years.

In addition to a mega-renewal with 19 Tribune stations, Warner Bros. Domestic TV has renewed the show with 21 Sinclair Broadcast Group stations.

“Tribune and Sinclair realized that with fewer hit sitcoms coming down the pike, securing a franchise performer like ‘Two and a Half Men’ is vital to maintaining their market position in the years to come,” said WBDTD prexy Ken Werner.
