The Eye’s consumer products division as named Vulcan — located in Alberta, Canada — the “world’s first officially licensed Star Trek destination.”
That means the city of Vulcan now has the rights to create a unique line of collectible Star Trek/Vulcan souvenirs. The merchandise will be available only at Vulcan businesses (and I assume, soon enough, on eBay).
Original Vulcan Leonard Nimoy is set to attend the unveiling of a Mr. Spock bronze bust in Vulcan, Canada, this Friday. I imagine things are about to get a bit more geeky in the town of Vulcan.

Vulcan is a town located midway between the cities of Calgary and Lethbridge, in the prairies of southern Alberta, Canada. The population of the town was 1,940 in 2006, and the population of the county, which is also named Vulcan, was 3,718. The town’s economy is mainly agriculture-based. Wheat, canola and barley are the main crops grown in the Vulcan area.
