Starz has inked a long-term carriage renewal agreement with Comcast Corp. that calls for Starz movie titles and other programming to be made available on Comcast’s broadband on-demand service.

Deal covers all 16 Starz, Encore and MoviePlex channels owned by Liberty Media, including its HD and HD On Demand services.

“Extending the broader relationship between the companies provides a great pipeline of commercial-free movies and original programming for years to come,” said Matt Bond, Comcast’s exec veep of content acquisition.

“The agreement with Comcast extends and expands our relationship in a way that benefits consumers and provides Comcast with even more flexibility in presenting our programming,” said Bill Myers, Starz Entertainment’s prexy and chief operating officer.
