The Matt Nix skein, formerly titled “Code 58,” will bow with a special episode on Wednesday, May 19 at 8 p.m. — before “American Idol.”
Low-cost entry “The Good Guys” — which stars Brad Whitford and Colin Hanks as detectives, not employees of a defunct electronics store chain — will then move to its normal Monday 9 p.m. slot starting June 7.
Also, drama “Lie to Me” — currently on hiatus — is back as lead-in for “The Good Guys” on Mondays at 8 p.m., also starting June 7. Fox has 12 more segs of the drama in the can.
Then there’s recently yanked drama “Past Life”; Fox will burn off that show’s extra segs on Fridays at 8 p.m. starting May 28. “Past Life” will be paired with “House” repeats; once eps of “Past Life” run out on June 18, net will slide in “Bones” encores.
Hit musical comedy “Glee” bleeds into summer, airing its season one finale on Tuesday, June 8. Repeats of the show will then continue on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. beginning June 16.
On the unscripted front, “So You Think You Can Dance” premieres the night after the “Idol” finale, on Thursday, May 27 at 8 p.m.
“Dance” then moves into its normal summer pattern: A two-hour performance show on Tuesdays, and a results show on Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
That will make for a crowded Tuesday night competish: “Dance” will face off with “America’s Got Talent” on NBC and ABC’s “Wipeout.”
On Thursdays, Fox will air two-hour episodes of “Hell’s Kitchen” starting June 10.
New schedule means much of Fox’s summer sked will be in originals at the start of June.
