Fox has given a pilot order to a U.S. take on British laffer “Outnumbered.”

Project, from 20th Century Fox TV, Chernin Entertainment, Hat Trick Prods. and scribes Barbara Wallace and Thomas Wolfe, reps Fox’s second stab at adapting the hit British series.

This time around, 20th and Fox note that “Outnumbered” is being produced out of the traditional pilot cycle, in order to avoid the crunch of pilot season and have an easier time finding talent.

“Outnumbered” centers on two parents who are overwhelmed by their three kids. Fox picked up a previous adaptation of “Outnumbered” as a pilot in 2008 from MRC.
