Exclusive: E! gives Joan Rivers a weekly series (and yes, Melissa’s involved, too)

Joan Rivers has expanded her patrol at E!, which is turning her “Fashion Police” specials into a weekly series.

E!
is expected to announce the new weekly “Fashion Police” today. Show
further cements the return of Rivers to the entertainment cabler, where
she and daughter Melissa were staples from 1996 to 2003.

The
mother-daughter duo exited E! in 2003, but Joan Rivers returned to the
channel earlier this year to host its awards season fashion coverage.

As part of the new deal, Melissa Rivers will serve as a co-exec producer on “Fashion Police” but not appear on camera.
