CBS promotes exec Andy Kubitz

Network taps VP for senior program planning, scheduling post

CBS has upgraded Andy Kubitz’s slot at the network.

Kubitz was bumped up to senior VP of program planning and scheduling at CBS, where he’ll continue to handle the scheduling of the Eye’s primetime series, TV movies and miniseries.

Kubitz reports to CBS senior exec VP Kelly Kahl, who announced the promotion on Wednesday.

“Andy is one of the best young execs in the business and this promotion reflects some terrific work fo rus this season,” Kahl said.

Kubitz has spent more than 15 years at CBS, which be first joined as a page. He had served as VP of program planning and scheduling since 2006, first joining the department in 1996.

Among Kubitz’s other duties, he’ll also help assist in the scheduling of the CW and coordinating CBS’ theatrical acquisitions.
