CBS greenlights ‘Love’

Tarses writing, exec producing comedy pilot

CBS is back in business with Matt Tarses, greenlighting his comedy pilot “True Love.”

Tarses, who previously adapted the U.K. hit “Worst Week” for the Eye, is writing and exec producing “True Love.”

Show revolves around a quartet of twentysomething friends looking for romance in Gotham.

Tarses’ sister, Jamie Tarses, is also attached as an exec producer, through her FanFare label.

Sony Pictures TV, where both Tarses siblings are based, is the studio.

Also, as part of the pick up, CBS TV Studios has now come aboard as a co-producer.
