Variety will host a breakfast and two panel discussions for this year’s Emmy-nominated showrunners Aug. 27 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.
Titled “Emmy Elite: The Showrunners Breakfast,” event will include showrunners and/or exec producers from the nominated dramas and comedies.
Those scheduled to attend on the drama side include Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse of “Lost,” Clyde Phillips of “Dexter,” Michelle and Robert King of “The Good Wife,” Vince Gilligan of “Breaking Bad” and Gregg Fienberg of “True Blood.”
For Emmy-nominated comedies, Steve Levitan of “Modern Family,” Dante DiLoreto and Brad Falchuk of “Glee,” Paul Lieberstein and Greg Daniels of “The Office,” and Liz Brixius and Linda Wallem of “Nurse Jackie” are set to attend. Others panelists may be added.
Following a breakfast reception at 8:30 a.m., a 45-minute comedy panel will be followed by a drama panel, each moderated by Variety’s TV editors.
