Publicist Kathleen Talbert, whose clients included Francis Ford Coppola, died July 8 in New York of cancer. She was 60.
The Gotham-based publicist had a number of high-profile clients and was Coppola’s sole publicist for more than 15 years working on his films, including “Youth Without Youth” and “Tetro,” wineries and other projects.
After such varied stints as working at the World Trade Center’s Windows on the World restaurant complex, Hilton Intl. and running her own bakery, Talbert founded Talbert Communications in 1989 and built it into a respected PR firm with clients in wine and spirits, lifestyle and entertainment.
Survivors include her partner of 27 years, Ruth Halligan; two sisters and a brother.
