NBC has handed out senior vice president stripes to two execs in its revived current programming department.

Erin Underhill and Edwin Chung have both been named senior vice president of current programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios. Promotions were announced Monday by current programming exec VP Vernon Sanders.

“Their respective experience and proven track record make these promotions an easy call,” Sanders said.

Underhill’s oversight includes new skeins “Chase” and “Love Bites,” as well as returning drama “Parenthood.” Chung works on “30 Rock,” “Community,” “Chuck” and new skein “Perfect Couples.”

Underhill was most recently VP of drama development, where she developed shows such as “Heroes,” “Chuck” and “Friday Night Lights.” Chung was most recently VP of comedy programming.

NBC and UMS relaunched a dedicated current department, led by Sanders, in June.
