CBS vet Randy Ragland died Sept. 9 of a heart attack in Los Angeles. He was 58.

Ragland was VP of corporate product rights at CBS Television Distribution.

Ragland started his showbiz career as an actor after graduating from the U. of Mississippi with a degree in theater. After a short stint in New York, he moved to Los Angeles. Over his career, he worked for De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, Carolco Pictures, Rysher Entertainment and Paramount.

Ragland is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda; mother; a brother and sister.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles 90068.
