Jason Gedrick is the latest thesp to be cast in David Milch’s HBO horseracing pilot “Luck.”
The show has seen its call sheet grow considerably of late. Dustin Hoffman was first cast as the lead, with Dennis Farina, Nick Nolte and Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens now all on board.
Gedrick will portray a racetrack gambling degenerate. He has appeared on episodes of “Desperate Housewives” and was a co-lead on “Boomtown” and “Murder One.”
Pilot, being shot at Santa Anita Park, is directed by Michael Mann, who exec produces with Milch and former HBO entertainment topper Carolyn Strauss.
In other news at the cabler, “How to Make It in America” just concluded its first season Sunday and now awaits word whether there’ll be a season two pickup. Also, the third season of “True Blood” is launching June 13.
