Disney Channel has teamed with MarVista Entertainment to produce telepic “Sixteen Wishes,” which will air on the cabler this summer.
Debby Ryan of the Disney Channel’s “The Suite Life on Deck” stars in the film with Jean-Luc Bilodeau (“Kyle XY”). Peter DeLuise directed the script from Annie DeYoung (“Princess Protection Program”).
Ryan plays a girl who has a “be careful what you wish for” 16th birthday.
Project, which just completed principal photography in Vancouver, Canada, is MarVista’s first co-production with Disney Channel. MarVista president Michael D. Jacobs and CEO Fernando Szew exec produced. Ron French of Unity Pictures Group was a co-production partner.
MarVista senior veep of production and development Robyn Snyder brought the project to Disney and co-developed.
