Helmer Murali Thalluri has revived his M2 Entertainment as a film financing company.
Founded in 2006 as vehicle for Thalluri’s debut feature “2:37,” which unspooled in Cannes and Toronto, the company will now solicit scripts to be read for a fee via website m2e.net.
“I know how hard it is to get a film up with the level of control that is sought after by filmmakers,” Thalluri said in a statement. “It has taken me four to five years to get my second project up. Hopefully M2E will be a company that will give the power back to the filmmakers.”
Company’s board of directors includes Thalluri’s producing partners Nick Matthews and Nick Selth, Ian Gibbins of Arclight Films, producer Scott Mosier, sound mixers Leslie Shatz and Chris David, plus former Weinstein Co. exec Michelle Krumm.
