Pete Wentz announces new band Black Cards

Wentz_pete

Fallout Boy bassist Pete Wentz announced on his official site that he’s starting up a new band called Black Cards. (In case you didn’t know, Fallout Boy is on an ‘indefinite break.’)

Wentz says the new band’s sound may not necessarily be something Fallout Boy fans will gravitate towards. Then again, ya never know. (I like Fallout Boy, and the new Black Cards track sounds stellar!)

There’s not much info available on the Black Cards site – but you can listen to a sample of their debut track.

Says Wentz on his blog in a post titled ‘this is not a test’:

there will be no treasure hunt. not [sic] viral campaign.

just the opposite- next week things will appear on this site in a very controlled distribution.

if you enjoy it, keep coming back. if its not for you than we understand.

Looking forward to it!
