New viddy: OK Go’s “End Love”

Newly liberated by Capitol Records and EMI and now operating their own imprint Paracadute, OK Go is promoting their re-released album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky” the best way they know — by releasing another astonishing video.

The band’s fresh clip “End Love” was elaborately shot in L.A.’s Echo Park; as usual, the band members work some engagingly awkward dance moves, with a crucial assist from an especially attentive goose. The song itself is twee Prince-inspired pop, but the video is worth watching, more than once, for its several “how the hell did they do that?” moments. (A gripe: The director doesn’t appear to be credited anywhere on OK Go’s site.)

The band is running a vid-related contest. Fans are urged to download the clip and upload it on their Facebook pages. The fan who receives the most comments wins an iPad.
