Rocket Was Jackie Brenston's "Rocket 88" really "the first rock 'n' roll record?"

That question will never be  answered satisfactorily, but the 1951 song and its architect Ike Turner are being celebrated next weekend (Aug. 6-8), as the Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival in Clarksdale, Miss., will be dedicated to that famous tune and its creator.
