Perhaps a sign that it has arrived, the sixth annual International Film Music Festival kicks off its four-day run in the ancient, Andalusian town of Ubeda, Spain with a live, online chat with a starry panel of film composers and musicians, including recent Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (“UP,” “Star Trek”), pictured right, Christopher Lennertz (“Alvin & the Chipmunks,” “Meet the Spartans”), Patrick Doyle (“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Sense and Sensibility”), Nathan Barr (“True Blood”) and vocalist Lisbeth Scott (“The Passion of the Christ”).
The video chat is scheduled for Wednesday, July 14, at 4:30 pm PT (1:30 am Spain time) on the new Justin.tv’s Film Music Live channel, at http://www.justin.tv/filmmusiclive.
Save for Doyle, the above-mentioned panelists will also be performing their music during the course of the fest, which will also feature live music tributes to Alex North (“Spartacus”) on Friday and Saturday nights at the fest’s main performing venue, the Renaissance-era Courtyard Hospital de Santiago.
Film Music Live is produced by Costa Communications, a marketing, p.r. and artist management firm whose clients include John Debney, John Ottman, Bruno Coulais and Alan Menken, among others.
