The strong-selling Broadway revival of “A View from the Bridge,” toplined by Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson, has made it into the black, according to producers.
Production, capitalized at around $2.5 million, has four weeks left in its 14-week limited run.
Box office for the show was robust enough that producers toyed with the idea of a longer run. But those tentative plans were thwarted in part by availability conflicts both with the cast and with a suitable Main Stem venue.
“View” has so far pulled in about $7.2 million over its 10 weeks on the boards.
Helmed by Gregory Mosher, “View” also stars Jessica Hecht, Michael Christofer and Morgan Spector, among others, in Arthur Miller’s tale of a Brooklyn longshoreman (Schreiber) who becomes romantically obsessed with his niece (Johansson).
