Julie Taymor will receive New Dramatists’ lifetime achievement award, presented by Helen Mirren, later this spring as part of the Gotham nonprofit’s annual spring lunch.

Mirren stars in Taymor’s upcoming film adaptation of “The Tempest.” Thomas Schumacher — head of Disney Theatrical Prods., producer of Taymor stage hit “The Lion King” — is chair of the luncheon, with Disney Theatrical and producer Bob Boyett credited as benefactors for the 61st annual event.

Next stage outing for Taymor is the ambitious, high-profile tuner “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark,” said to be targeting the fall for its much-delayed opening.

A legit org that focuses on supporting and advocating for playwrights, New Dramatists has given lifetimes kudo in the past to Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Edward Albee, among others.

Luncheon is set for May 18 at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square.
