Lili Taylor will co-star alongside the previously announced Megan Mullally and Patton Oswalt in the Roundabout Theater Company’s Broadway production of “Lips Together, Teeth Apart.”
Taylor (“Public Enemies,” “Six Feet Under”) has appeared in several Off Broadway productions in recent years, including “Aunt Dan and Lemon” and “Landscape of the Body,” but “Lips” will rep her first Main Stem credit since her 1997 debut in a Roundabout revival of “The Three Sisters.” (She also has since appeared on the Rialto in two of the annual, one-night-only perfs of “The 24 Hour Plays.”)
In “Lips,” actress will play Sally, the woman who inherits a Fire Island beach house from her brother in the Terrence McNally play, originally produced at Manhattan Theater Club in 1991. Story follows two married couples spending a Fourth of July weekend together at the house.
Joe Mantello (“Wicked”) directs “Lips,” which begins previews at the Roundabout’s American Airlines Theater April 9 ahead of an April 29 opening. One more role remains to be cast.
