Ben Stiller and Edie Falco are attached to star in a Broadway revival of “The House of Blue Leaves,” to be produced by Scott Rudin in the spring.
Stiller will play the central role of the zookeeper in the John Guare play, with Falco cast as his schizophrenic wife. One more female lead remains to be cast.
It’ll be a return to the play for Stiller, who appeared as the zookeeper’s son in an earlier revival.
David Cromer is said to be on board to direct. Cromer will also helm Rudin’s fall 2011 revival of “Sweet Bird of Youth” toplined by Nicole Kidman.
Rudin (“The Social Network”), whose last Broadway outing was the Denzel Washington-toplined revival of “Fences,” also has on tap for spring the tuner comedy “The Book of Mormon,” from the creators of “South Park.”
