The WGA East Foundation will host a benefit perf of “Jules Feiffer: Funny Side Up” Nov. 15 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater.

Show traces Feiffer’s eclectic career as a cartoonist, playwright, author and screenwriter, with guest appearances by Robert Klein, Bill Irwin and Mike Nichols. There’ll also be a post-show Q&A with Feiffer.

Feiffer’s long career includes a 42-year run with his Pulitzer-winning comicstrip plus such plays as “Little Murders,” “Knock Knock” and “Grown-Ups” and screenplays including “Carnal Knowledge” and “Popeye.”

Event will benefit the charitable wing of the WGA East. The foundation’s initiatives include bringing writing workshops to underserved areas of the country and programs that promote literature and writing skills in elementary schools.
