Unified, Bron ink three-picture deal

Deal kicks off with comedy 'A Million Reasons'

L.A.-based Unified Pictures and Vancouver’s Bron Studios are solidifying their relationship, inking a three-pic deal that commences with comedy “A Million Reasons.”

Under the pact, Unified will handle production and foreign sales; Bron will finance and co-produce.

Announcement was made by Unified founder and prexy Keith Kjarval and Bron topper Aaron L. Gilbert as AFM got underway.

Two companies first got to know each other when teaming on indie pic “Janie Jones,” starring Abigail Breslin, Alessandro Nivola and Elizabeth Shue. Media House Capital also helped finance “Janie Jones,” and will put up some coin for “Million Reasons.”

Written and directed by Michael A. Nickles, “Million Reasons” revolves around a down-on-his-luck man on a desperate quest to unlock a memory.

Nickles is expected to begin shooting in January.
