Aron Warner, producer of the “Shrek” movies, has optioned Paul Melko’s “The Walls of the Universe” for Strange Weather, his production company with fellow DreamWorker Andrew Adamson, co-helmer of “Shrek” and “Shrek 2.”

“We think it has a ton of potential to explore the idea of parallel universes in a personal way, like ‘Back to the Future’ did with time travel,” said Warner.
